通过锂测试确认的普瑰亚斯星团棕矮星

摘要
我们展示了对普瑰亚斯星团中两个棕矮星 Teide 1 和 Calar 3的10幅Keck光谱，清晰检测到670.8 nm锂共振线。对于Teide 1，我们还获得了812.6 nm次要线的证据。从观测到的锂线推断出高锂丰度（log N(Li) >= 2.5），与几乎没有耗尽相符。由于普瑰亚斯星团棕矮星无法燃烧锂，显著保存这一脆弱元素确认了这两个对象的亚星际性。尽管年龄如何，他们的低光度和锂含量使Teide 1和Calar 3 comfortably位于真正的棕矮星范畴内。鉴于普瑰亚斯星团的可能年龄，这两个对象的质量估计为55±15个木星质量。
