摘要
本文介绍OccCANINE，一个将职业描述映射到HISCO编码的开源工具。手动编码既慢又易出错；OccCANINE将数周的工作缩短至几分钟内完成。我们在来自13种语言的29个数据源的1580万条描述-编码对上微调了CANINE模型。该模型达到了96%的准确率、精确率和召回率。我们还展示了该方法可推广至三个编码系统——OCC1950、OCCICEM和ISCO-68，并将其开源发布。通过打破“HISCO壁垒”，OccCANINE使高质量职业编码的获取更加民主化，从而推动经济学、经济史及相关学科的更广泛研究。
