Y(3S) → π⁰ h_b 和 ψ(2S) → π⁰ h_c 的分支比

摘要

利用 CLEO III [CLEO-c] 探测器在 CESR 上采集的对应于 5.88M Y(3S) [25.9M ψ(2S)] 衰变的 e⁺e⁻ 碰撞数据,我们研究了从 Y(3S) [ψ(2S)] 到相应自旋单态 h_{b[c]} 的单 pion 跃迁。仅利用适当选择的跃迁 π⁰ 候选者的动量,我们在 90% 置信水平上得到了上限 B(Y(3S) → π⁰ h_b) < 1.2×10⁻³,并测量了 B(ψ(2S) → π⁰ h_c) = (9.0±1.5±1.3)×10⁻⁴。通过排除非常不对称的 π⁰ → γγ 候选者,增强了信号灵敏度。
