强信号、弱信号与系统误差

摘要
我们研究了在存在大幅值信号的情况下，仪器系统误差在搜寻小幅值信号分量中的作用。当前处理上述情形的变星分析似乎忽略了系统误差的影响，尽管在系外行星领域中考虑系统误差已是相当常规的做法。我们表明，对大幅值分量与系统误差进行同步滤波，所得残差在探测任何隐藏的小幅值分量方面具有更好的潜力。该方法通过来自开普勒(Kepler)数据库的若干精选实例加以说明。
