参宿四与红色超巨星

摘要
参宿四是天空中最壮丽的恒星之一，也是最近的红色超巨星之一。天文学家于2012年秋季聚集在巴黎，讨论我们对它的结构、行为以及过去和未来演化的了解，以及如何将其置于红色超巨星类的总体背景中。在此，我反思这些讨论，并对所呈现的证据提出综合。我相信，在那四天里，我们成功解决了一些谜题。
