BeppoSAX 对 GRB970402 的观测

GRB970402 是 BeppoSAX 在伽玛射线暴监测仪 (GRBM) 和两台宽场相机 (WFCs) 之一同时探测到的第四个伽玛射线暴。暴后 8 小时快速指向 BeppoSAX 的窄场仪器 (NFIs) 导致确认一颗未知的微弱 X 射线源：1SAX J1450.1-6920。其位置大致位于 WFC 图像推导的 3 .arcmin 误差圆中心。中能量 (MECS, 2-10 keV) 和低能量 (LECS, 0.1-10 keV) 集中仪器均检测到该源。54 ks 持续的后续观测显示，源在 1.5 天后已接近但未低于探测阈值。两次观测之间的能量减弱约为 2.5 倍。1SAX J1450.1-6920 是第二个与伽玛射线暴相关的 X 射线尾声。其他波段（可见光、红外、射电）的快速搜索未在 3 .arcmin 误差圆内发现任何瞬态事件。
