紧凑双星并合的贝叶斯推断与 BILBY:对首个 LIGO–Virgo 引力波暂现源星表的验证与应用

摘要

引力波为观测天文学提供了一种独特的工具。虽然首个 LIGO–Virgo 引力波暂现源星表(GWTC-1)包含来自黑洞和中子星双星的十一个信号,但随着探测器灵敏度的提高,观测数量正在迅速增加。为了从观测信号中提取信息,迫切需要快速、灵活且可扩展的推断技术。在先前的一篇论文中,我们介绍了 BILBY:一个模块化且用户友好的贝叶斯推断库,经调整以满足引力波推断的需求。在这项工作中,我们证明了 BILBY 能为来自紧凑双星并合的模拟引力波信号产生可靠结果,并核实其准确复现了针对十一个 GWTC-1 信号所报告的结果。此外,我们提供了所有分析的配置和输出文件,以便于轻松复现、修改和未来使用。本工作确立了 BILBY 已准备就绪,可用于分析快速增长的紧凑双星并合引力波信号群体。
