Complex A与Orphan流是否相关？

我们考虑了银河系中性氢流Complex A与恒星Orphan流相关的可能性，并利用这一假设来确定Complex A和Orphan流的可能距离以及后者的视向速度。所提出的方法利用了我们目前对这两条流投影位置的认识，以及Complex A的视向速度，我们证明存在一个解，使得这两条流共享同一条轨道。如果Complex A和Orphan流位于此轨道上，我们的计算表明Orphan流的平均距离为20 kpc，日心径向速度约为-110 km/s。Complex A将领先于Orphan流，位于同一轨道绕转的同一圈上，平均距离为10 kpc，这与通过星际吸收线技术确定的距离约束一致。
