基于更深 IXPE 观测的 Crab X 射线极化分析

我们采用总曝光量为300千秒(三倍于2022年发现论文的初始观测)的IXPE数据,对Crab X射线极化进行测量。极化在三倍于以往的脉冲相位分bin中被检测到,揭示了主脉冲中40度极化角扫掠的S型曲线,并且在两个脉冲中均观测到的偏离OPTIMA光学极化,暗示两种波段的极化发射可能具有不同的辐射机制或发射位置。我们的内 nebula极化图显示出现了环形磁场,与此前的IXPE分析一致。在南方喷流上,磁场方向相对于喷流轴的变化从垂直变为平行,极化度下降约。这些观测可由喷流沿线的皱卷 instability或喷流尖端与密集喷流偏转介质的碰撞解释。利用谱极化分析,我们发现内 nebula的四个象限之间存在不对称的极化,预期于环形磁场几何结构相符,并且极化度与光子指数之间存在空间相关性。
