摘要
以文本形式存储的海量信息使得处理文本的方法极具吸引力。本文重点研究使用压缩距离处理文本。更具体地说，本文在理解文本本质和压缩距离本质方面迈出了一小步。广义上讲，实现这一目标的方式是探索几种失真技术对压缩距离家族中最成功的距离之一——归一化压缩距离(NCD)的影响。
