我们研究了 Hickson 紧凑群 HCG62 的 X 射线属性，以确定其热气体包围层的性质、动力学和演化状态。我们的分析揭示，该 X 射线漫射 halo 具有极其复杂的形貌、热力学和化学结构。由于 NGC 4778 中心星系所驻扎的 AGN 的存在，清晰可见两个深型空洞。这些空洞似乎被由冷气形成的 ridges 环绕。该群显示出与占主导地位的星系相关的冷核。 在外围区域，温度结构相当规则，而金属丰度呈更不规则的分布，具有较大的 Si/O 和 Si/Fe 比值。
