由GRB 161219B中强高频衍射闪烁推得的意外小发射区尺寸

摘要

我们呈现长伽马射线暴GRB 161219B(z=0.147z=0.147)的Karl G. Jansky甚大阵列射电观测,频率覆盖1371-37 GHz。数据表现出异常行为,包括以2020 GHz为中心、覆盖全频率范围的尖锐谱峰和分钟量级大幅变率。我们将此行为归因于湍流电离银河系星际介质(ISM)对射电辐射的散射,包括衍射与折射闪烁。然而,闪烁远强于银河系电子密度分布模型(NE2001)的预测;由测得变率时标与去相关带宽,我们推断散射度量SM(870)×104SM\approx {(8-70)\times 10^{-4}} kpc m20/3^{-20/3}(最高达NE2001预测值的25{25}倍)以及散射屏距离dscr0.23d_{\rm scr}\approx {0.2-3} kpc。我们推断在4\approx4天时发射区尺寸θs0.94\theta_s \approx {0.9-4} μ\muas((14)×1016\approx {(1-4)}\times 10^{16} cm),并发现8天前源尺寸比均匀照亮盘或边缘增亮环的模型预测小一个数量级,表明略离轴的视角或发射区存在显著子结构。对未来GRB余辉的同步多小时宽带射电观测将使我们更完整地刻画闪烁,从而探测观测者视角、喷流洛伦兹因子演化、余辉发射区结构与高银纬ISM湍流。
