一次 HETE-2 观测的光学暗 GRB:GRB 051022

摘要

GRB 051022 于 2005 年 10 月 22 日 13:07:58 被 HETE-2 检测到。该 GRB 的位置由飞行定位系统立即确定。该暴露包含多个脉冲,持续时间约为 190 秒。候选 X 射线和射电 afterglow 的检测报告了,而未发现光学 afterglow。对宿主星系的光学光谱观测揭示了红移 z = 0.8。利用 HETE-2 对初始暴露数据,我们发现 N_H = 8.8 -2.9/+3.1 x 10^22 cm^-2 and the visual extinction A_V = 49 -16/+17 mag in the host galaxy。如果是这种情况,未发现任何光学瞬态的检测是合理的。HETE-2 对初始暴露观测得到的吸收值与 Swift XRT 对 afterglow 的观测结果完全一致。我们的分析暗示吸收介质可能位于 R ~ 10^16 cm 处的外部冲击外部,这可能是一个带尘埃的分子云。
