改进的 $\mu$ 子电偶极矩直接限制

摘要

基于费米实验室 μ\mu 子 g-2 实验在 2019 年至 2020 年间获取的数据,给出了正 μ\mu 子永久电偶极矩 (EDM) 的限制。径迹探测器测量了 μ\mu 子衰变产生的正电子的平均垂直衰变角,从而能够寻找可能的 μ\mu 子 EDM dμd_\mu 与实验室系磁场之间的相互作用。结果 dμ=(0.35±0.19stat±0.34sys)×1019 ed_\mu = (-0.35 \pm 0.19_{\mathrm{stat}} \pm 0.34_{\mathrm{sys}}) \times10^{-19}~e\cdotcm 与零一致,并在 95% 置信水平下设定了 μ\mu 子 EDM 的新直接限制 dμ<1.10×1019 e|d_\mu|<1.10\times10^{-19}~e\cdotcm。
