HD 169142 过渡盘中的一个神秘点状特征

摘要
我们报告在过渡盘恒星 HD 169142 的盘中探测到一个微弱的点状特征，该特征可能与正在进行的行星形成过程有关。该点状特征的 mag(L)6.4，分离角约为 0.11"，位置角 PA0。鉴于其相对亮度较高却缺乏 H 或 K 波段的对应体，该候选体无法仅用光球辐射来解释，必定是一个由未知热源加热的盘特征。其极红的颜色使其极不可能是背景天体，但未来的多波段后续观测对于确认和表征该特征是必要的。
