摘要
本文聚焦于X射线指示器，综述了类型2、窄线AGN中吸收性质。我讨论了冷吸收介质（假想的环状结构）和再加热成分的属性，以及这些因素对统一模型的含义。考察了光学分类与X射线吸收之间的关系。也讨论了`化石' AGN的情况，即其类型2分类并非由于吸收效应所致。虽然本综述主要聚焦于附近的Seyfert 2星系，但我也简要讨论了高亮度和高红移处吸收的效应以及对X射线背景的含义。
