引力波事件电磁跟随观测的预警系统

摘要
双中子星(BNSs)在设计灵敏度的 Advanced LIGO 与 Virgo 探测器频段内将停留约 -- 15 分钟。引力波(GW)数据的匹配滤波原则上可累积足够信噪比(SNR),从而在伴星碰撞并合前数十秒识别 forthcoming 事件。本文报告一个预警引力波探测流水线的设计与测试。对于红移足够低、从而在并合前 累积足够大 SNR 的源,可产生预警警报。我们发现约 7%(相应为 49%)的可探测 BNS 并合将在并合前 ()被探测到。约 2% 的可探测 BNS 并合将在并合前被探测到并定位在 以内(90% 可信区间)。多台广视场望远镜的协同观测可在并合前后数秒捕获该事件。设计灵敏度的 LIGO-Virgo 探测器可促成在并合起始时观测至少一次事件。
