我们提出新数据并讨论了铝丰度在红巨星分支 (RGB) 上与水平分支 (HB) 形态之间的关系，这是两个全球星系 M3 和 M13 的第二个参数配对。由于铝是在 RGB 进化过程中 H 燃烧壳内产生的，其在星际大气中的超丰度可指示氦的混合，这种氦混合已被证明是解释 HB 形态的可行的第二个参数。
