AGN 对哈勃深场与 X 射线背景的预测

摘要
我们估算了哈勃深场(HDF)中星系的 AGN 数量。近期发现的一种 X射线亮窄 emission-line 星系类，为解释 X射线背景(XRB)的来源提供了可能的解释，尽管其活动本质仍未解决。通过对观察到的 X射线计数分布进行外推至暗光 magnitude，我们预测这一 AGN 群体可为 HDF 中约 % 的星系做出贡献。相比之下，正常的宽光线 QSO 预计在这些 magnitude 下的源数至多为 %。
