借助INTEGRAL理解大质量X射线双星的研究进展与未来方向

大质量X射线双星是银河系及邻近星系中最亮的X射线源之一。由于其高度变化的辐射与复杂的现象学,自X射线天文学诞生以来便吸引了高能天体物理界的兴趣。近年间,它们挑战了我们对从红外到甚高能众多能段中物理过程的理解。在本综述中,我们广泛而简洁地总结了主导大质量X射线双星在几乎全电磁波段辐射的物理过程。这些包括恒星风与致密天体强引力场和磁场的相互作用、极端磁与引力条件下物质的行为,以及大质量恒星因处于双星系统而受到的演化过程扰动。我们强调INTEGRAL任务在发现大质量X射线双星类中许多最有趣天体方面的作用,及其在过去二十年间重燃对这些源兴趣的贡献。我们展示INTEGRAL的发现不仅显著增加了已知大质量X射线双星的数量、从而推进了对整体群体的理解,还开启了新的研究窗口,促进了如今多数天体物理研究领域常见的多波段方法。我们以概述从X射线到甚高能域规划中的未来设施作结,它们有望帮助我们回答INTEGRAL科学观测逾18年后仍悬而未决的诸多问题。
