M型和L型恒星的活动性与运动学

我讨论了对两种传统年龄指示器——染色体活动性和运动学——在靠近氢燃烧极限的后M型和L型恒星上的观测结果。随着温度在谱型M8-L4范围内的升高，染色体活动性的频率和强度迅速消失。有证据表明，晚期M型和L型恒星的活动性较弱于年龄较大的恒星，这与传统的恒星年龄-活动关系相悖。L型恒星的运动学结果确认了锂型L型恒星年龄小于非锂型L型恒星。
