我们展示了明亮分离食双星 BG Ind 的测光与光谱分析。主星和伴星的质量分别被测定为 1.428 +- 0.008 和 1.293 +- 0.008 Msun，半径分别为 2.290+-0.017 和 1.680+-0.038 Rsun。光谱与等龄线拟合结合色指数校准得出 [Fe/H]=-0.2+-0.1。在 2.65+-0.20 Gyr 的年龄下，BG Ind 在主序演化阶段已相当靠后——事实上，其主星正处于 TAMS 或刚刚越过 TAMS。它与另外三个类似系统（BK Peg、BW Aqr 和 GX Gem）一起，为测试 1.2-1.5 Msun 临界质量范围内的超越理论描述提供了有趣的机会。
