我们报告了使用 XMM-Newton 上的 RGS 单元于 2000 年 11 月拍摄的 BL Lac 对象 PKS 2155-304 的高分辨率 X 射线光谱。我们检测到来自温暖/热局部气体的 OVII Kalpha 共振吸收线于 21.59 Å (~4.5 sigma 检测)。该吸收线轮廓可能呈双峰。我们未确认 Chandra 所见的强 20.02 Å 吸收线，其被解释为 z~0.05 的 OVIII Kalpha。我们对等效宽度设定了 14 mA 的 3 sigma 上限。我们还检测到约 23.5 Å 的星际 OI 1s-->2p 吸收线，并推导出 PKS 2155-304 视线上 ISM 中 O/H 比率为约 1.5 太阳值以下。
