Abell 193 中最亮团星系的三重核结构

我们展示了 Abell 193 中最亮团星系（IC 1695）的地基近红外 K 波段图像和 HST/WFPC2 图像。该天体是利用 X 射线信息选出的中心团星系。两幅图像均揭示了一个三重核结构。此前，该星系被认为只有两个核。我们给出了三个核的颜色、星等以及颜色图。该星系的核结构与核的颜色表明，在其近期历史中可能发生过并合事件。
