从尘埃红超巨星中破茧而出的激波闪焰

摘要
激波突破辐射是指大质量恒星核坍缩爆炸产生的激波穿过其外层包层时出现的光。迄今,对此类信号的最早探测是在爆炸后数小时,尽管也有少数其他报道。早期光变曲线的时序演化应揭示激波传播及包括爆炸不对称性与邻近环境的洞察,但因缺乏多波段观测而受阻。在此我们报道对 M101 星系中 II 型超新星(SN 2023ixf,距离 6.85±0.15 Mpc)的即时多波段观测,始于爆炸后约 1.4 小时。爆发星为一半径约 440 太阳半径的红超巨星。光变曲线以 1–2 小时时标快速演化,且在最初数小时内比模型预测异常偏暗且偏红,我们将其归因于在激波破坏前存在光学厚尘埃壳。我们推断突破及或许周围尘埃的分布并非球对称。
