搜索 B+ --> tau+ nu_tau 衰变

摘要
我们搜索罕见的 leptonic 衰变 B+ --> tau+ nu_tau。该实验在 232x10^6 对 B Bbar 对事件中进行，采用位于 SLAC PEP-II B-Factory 上的 BABAR 探测器收集。通过检查反伴随 B 介子衰变 B- --> D*0 l- nu_lbar 的性质来选择信号事件。我们未发现证据，并在 90% 置信水平下给出 B+ --> tau+ nu_tau 衰变分支比例上限为 BR(B+ --> tau+ nu_tau) < 2.8x10^{-4}。我们将此结果与先前的、统计上独立的 BABAR 搜索 B+ --> tau+ nu_tau 合并，给出 90% 置信水平下的上限 BR(B+ --> tau+ nu_tau) < 2.6x10^{-4}。
