在银沉平面搜索TeV级未确认源的辐射

摘要
约70个未确认源可能是EGRET星空调查中最重要的遗产。对这些源在其他波段的识别对于理解其本质至关重要。许多源在10 GeV以下具有平坦的光谱,如果将其外推至TeV能级,将相对于陡峭下降的 diffuse background轻易被检测到。已使用Whipple观测站的伽马射线望远镜对这些源进行观测,选取依据包括位置、强度和光谱,某些情况下亦基于与超新星残留或脉冲星的可能关联。未检测到来自这些源的显著辐射,给出上限值。
