通过奇异矢量玻色子交换寻找中子可能存在的长程自旋相关相互作用

摘要

我们提出一项搜索,寻找中子通过自旋为 1、具有轴矢量耦合的玻色子交换而与物质产生的可能自旋相关相互作用,正如标准模型可能扩展中所设想的那样。该搜索使用一台慢中子偏振计实现,其使横向极化的慢中子穿过未极化的材料板,材料板如此布置以使该相互作用会倾斜偏振平面并沿中子动量方向产生一个分量。旋转角的结果为 ϕV5=[2.8±4.6(stat.)±4.0(sys.)]×105 \mboxrad/m\phi'_{V_5} = [2.8\pm\,4.6(stat.)\pm\,4.0(sys.)]\times 10^{-5}~\mbox{rad/m},与零一致。该结果将此类相互作用下中子-物质耦合 gA2g_{A}^{2} 的上界在 mm-μ\mum 力程范围内改善了约三个数量级。
