KLOE 实验对 CP 破坏衰变 $K_S \to 3\pi^0$ 的新限制

摘要

我们利用 KLOE 探测器在 ϕ\phi-工厂 DAFNE 收集的 1.7 fb1^{-1} e+ee^+e^- 碰撞数据,对 CP 破坏衰变 KS3π0K_S \to 3\pi^0 进行了新的直接搜寻。我们在约 5.9×1085.9 \times 10^8KSKLK_S K_L 事件样本中搜寻该衰变,通过 KLK_L 在量能器中的相互作用标记 KSK_S,并要求六个瞬发光子。与之前的搜寻相比,分析得到了改进:标记样本增加了四倍,并且更有效地抑制了虚假 KSK_S 标记和杂散簇的背景。我们在数据和模拟背景样本中均未发现候选事例,而预期有 0.12 个标准模型事例。通过归一化到同一样本中的 KS2π0K_S \to 2\pi^0 事件数,我们设定了 BR(KS3π0)<2.6×108BR(K_S \to 3\pi^0) < 2.6 \times 10^{-8} (90% C.L.) 的上限,比之前的限制低了五倍。我们还设定了参数 η000\eta_{000} 的上限 η000<0.0088|\eta_{000}| < 0.0088 (90% C.L.),将最新的直接测量结果提高了一倍。
