基于 EGRET 数据估计外银河伽马背景的新方法

摘要
我们采用 GALPROP 模型对 cosmic-ray (CR) 传播进行建模，以获得银河伽马辐射组成的最佳预测，并表明在银河平原之外，该模型对观测到的 EGRET 强度具有准确预测。基于此，我们重新评估了各向同性外银河伽马背景 (EGRB)。我们发现，对于某些能量，先前的工作低估了银河成分的贡献，从而高估了背景值。我们的新 EGRB 谱显示出类似于基于伽马射线源群 (blazar) 预期模型的正曲率。
