350 Mpc处长时标伽马射线暴后的千新星

摘要
在此,我们报告发现与邻近(350 Mpc)分钟级时标GRB 211211A相关的千新星。结合爆发后17.7天排除伴生超新星至 mag的深光学上限,该千新星的证认确认此暴的 progenitor 为致密星并合。虽然GRB 211211A伽马射线光曲线中谱较软的尾段让人联想到以往的扩展发射短伽马射线暴(EE-SGRB),但其瞬时明亮尖峰持续 s,使之区别于过往EE-SGRB。GRB 211211A的千新星在光度、持续时间和颜色上与AT2017gfo相似,后者为与引力波(GW)探测到的双中子星(BNS)并合GW170817相关的千新星。我们发现该并合抛射了约的r-process富物质,且与质量接近标准的两中子星(NS)并合一致。该发现意味着具有长而复杂光曲线的GRB可由致密星并合事件产生,且在计算NS并合r-process贡献与速率时应考虑持续时间 s的GRB后的千新星族。在350 Mpc处,若设计灵敏度下的当前GW干涉仪网络在该事件发生时运行,本可探测引发GRB 211211A的并合。因此,对与长GRB符合的GW信号进一步搜寻是未来多信使天文学的有前景途径。
