核心坍缩前的巨型外爆

摘要

恒星的死亡会产生多种超新星,其类型与爆炸星的结构有关。虽然已报告多例Type II超新星的前体星,但迄今为止尚无关于氢缺失型Type Ib和Ic超新星的直接信息。我们在此报告,异常Type Ib超新星SN2006jc的发生地与2004年一次明亮光学暂态事件的空间位置吻合。通过对超新星的光谱和光度监测,我们认为其前体为位于氦丰富 circumstellar介质中的碳氧型温热星。关于这一外爆现象,存在多种可能解释。其特征类似于60-100太阳质量恒星的Luminous Blue星(LBV)巨型外爆,但SN2006jc的前体缺乏氢和氦。若某温热星发生LBV样外爆,则本例为首次观测证据。或者,由一颗在2004年发生外爆的LBV星与SN2006jc一起爆发的温热星组成的巨型双星系统也能解释观测结果。
