在原行星盘中观测到的远紫外驱动光蒸发流

摘要

大多数低质量恒星形成于也包含大质量恒星的星团中,这些大质量恒星是远紫外(FUV)辐射源。理论模型预测,这种FUV辐射会在低质量恒星周围的原行星盘表面产生光解离区(PDR),从而影响盘内的行星形成。我们报告了JWST和阿塔卡马大型毫米波/亚毫米波阵列对猎户座星云中一个受FUV辐照的原行星盘的观测。从PDR中探测到了发射线;对其运动学和激发的建模使我们能够约束气体内的物理条件。我们量化了FUV辐照引起的质量损失率,发现它足以在不到一百万年的时间内从盘中移除气体。这个速度足够快,足以影响盘中巨行星的形成。
