0.8 < z < 2.6 范围内金属丰度演化的连贯研究

我们展示了来自LUCI、SINS/zC-SINF和KMOS3D巡天的222个星系(红移0.8 < z < 2.6,log(M*/Msun)=9.0-11.5)样本中恒星质量、恒星形成率(SFR)与作为气相金属丰度指标的[NII]/Hα流量比之间的相关性。该样本使用一致的数据分析技术和强线金属丰度指标,在扩展的红移范围内对质量-金属丰度关系(MZR)进行了独特分析。我们发现关系低质量端斜率恒定,并可通过特征转折质量(关系在渐近金属丰度处开始变平)的演化来完全描述其红移演化。在固定质量和红移下,我们的数据未显示[NII]/Hα比值与SFR之间的相关性,这与近期文献中讨论的恒星质量、SFR和金属丰度之间的“基本关系”所预测的0.2-0.3 dex的[NII]/Hα偏移不一致。然而,整体上[NII]/Hα随早期时间降低的演化趋势与这些预测大致一致。
