本文描述了从 ROTSE-I 望远镜获取的统一方式从天文巡视数据中提取的大型新型 contact 双星样本。将广泛的 ROTSE-I 光变数据与来自 Two Micron All-Sky Survey (2MASS) 的 J、H、K 波段近红外数据相结合，以获取颜色信息。通过观察的 period-color 关系选择 contact 双星候选对象。通过光变曲线的视觉检查确认候选对象。为提高此目录的实用性，我们推导出新的 J-H period-color-luminosity 关系，并用于估算整个目录的距离。从这些距离估算我们推导出约 (1.7 +/- 0.6) x 10^-5 pcs^-3 的 contact 双星空间密度。
