Quasi J-submodules

Commutative Algebra 2021-02-23 v1

Abstract

Let RR be a commutative ring with identity and MM be a unitary RR-module. The aim of this paper is to extend the notion of quasi JJ-ideals of commutative rings to quasi JJ-submodules of modules. We call a proper submodule NN of MM a quasi JJ-submodule if whenever rRr\in R and mMm\in M such that rmNrm\in N and r(J(R)M:M)r\notin(J(R)M:M), then mMm\in M-rad(N)rad(N). We present various properties and characterizations of this concept (especially in finitely generated faithful multiplication modules). Furthermore, we provide new classes of modules generalizing presimplifiable modules and justify their relation with (quasi) JJ-submodules. Finally, for a submodule NN of MM and an ideal II of RR, we characterize the quasi JJ-ideals of the idealization ring R(+)MR(+)M.
