Semi n-submodules of modules over commutative rings

Abstract

Let RR be a commutative ring with identity and MM a unitary RR-module. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of semi-nn-submodules as an extension of semi nn-ideals and nn-submodules. A proper submodule NN of MM is called a semi nn-submodule if whenever rRr\in R, mMm\in M with r2mNr^{2}m\in N, r0r\notin\sqrt{0} and AnnR(m)=0Ann_{R}(m)=0, then rmNrm\in N. Several properties, characterizations of this class of submodules with many supporting examples are presented. Furthermore, semi nn-submodules of amalgamated modules are investigated.
