Abstract
Let be an odd prime and let , and denote the three different versions of Thompson subgroups for a -group . In this article, we first prove an extension of Glauberman's replacement theorem. Secondly, we prove the following: Let be a -stable group and . Suppose that . If is a strongly closed subgroup in , then , and are normal subgroups of . Thirdly, we show the following: Let be a -free group and . If is a strongly closed subgroup in , then the normalizers of the subgroups , and control strong -fusion in . We also prove a similar result for a -stable and -constrained group. Lastly, we give a -nilpotency criteria, which is an extension of Glauberman-Thompson -nilpotency theorem.
