A result on s-semipermutable subgroups of finite groups and some applications

Abstract

Let pp be a prime number, GG be a pp-solvable finite group and PP be a Sylow pp-subgroup of GG. We prove that GG is pp-supersolvable if NG(P)N_G(P) is pp-supersolvable and if there is a subgroup HH of PP with PHΦ(P)P' \le H \le \Phi(P) such that HH is ss-semipermutable in GG. As applications, we simplify the proofs of some known results and also generalize some known results.
