A refinement on a theorem of Z. Janko

Group Theory 2020-07-21 v1

Abstract

We say that a subgroup HH is isolated in a group GG if for each xGx\in G we have either xHx\in H or xH=1\langle x\rangle \cap H={1}. Z. Janko, in his paper [J. Algebra, 465(2016), 41--61], determined certain classes of finite nonabelian pp-groups which possess some isolated subgroups. In this note, a theorem of his paper is refined.
