Finite groups with many isolated subgroups

Group Theory 2021-11-30 v1

Abstract

Given a finite group GG, we denote by L(G)L(G) the subgroup lattice of GG and by Isolated(G){\rm Isolated}(G) the set of isolated subgroups of GG. In this note, we describe finite groups GG such that Isolated(G)=L(G)k|{\rm Isolated}(G)|=|L(G)|-k, where k=0,1,2k=0,1,2.
