Zero-divisors of semigroup modules

Abstract

Let MM be an RR-module and SS a semigroup. Our goal is to discuss zero-divisors of the semigroup module M[S]M[S]. Particularly we show that if MM is an RR-module and SS a commutative, cancellative and torsion-free monoid, then the R[S]R[S]-module M[S]M[S] has few zero-divisors of degree nn if and only if the RR-module MM has few zero-divisors of degree nn and Property (A).
