The Lie Algebra Rank Condition for Non-Bilinear Quantum System

Abstract

The controllability condition for finite dimensional quantum systems, the Lie Algebra Rank Condition, has been stated assuming that the right invariant differential system under consideration is bilinear. We remark that this assumption is not necessary and discuss the extension to the general case.

A short communication that points out that the Lie algebra rank condition used in quantum control theory can be extended to quantum systems that are not bilinear. The extension can be deduced from the literature on Geometric Control. However, to make the paper self contained a proof is given
