Quot Functors for Deligne-Mumford Stacks

Abstract

Given a separated and locally finitely-presented Deligne-Mumford stack \cX\cX over an algebraic space SS, and a locally finitely-presented \OO\cX\OO_{\cX}-module \cF\cF, we prove that the Quot functor Quot(\cF/\cX/S)\text{Quot}(\cF/\cX/S) is represented by a separated and locally finitely-presented algebraic space over SS. Under additional hypotheses, we prove that the connected components of Quot(\cF/\cX/S)\text{Quot}(\cF/\cX/S) are quasi-projective over SS.
