Nonstandard Analysis in Topology: Nonstandard and Standard Compactifications

General Topology 2007-05-23 v1 Logic

Abstract

\begin{abstrac} Let (X,T)(X,T) be a topological space, and X^{*}X a non--standard extension of XX. There is a natural ``standard'' topology ST^{S}T on X^{*}X generated by G^{*}G, where GTG\in T. The topological space (X,ST)(^{*}X,^{S}T) will be used to study compactifications of (X,T)(X,T) in a systematic way.
