$\left( n , k , k - 1 \right)$-Steiner Systems in Random Hypergraphs

Abstract

Let HH be a random kk-uniform nn-vertex hypergraph where every kk-tuple belongs to HH independently with probability pp. We show that for some εk>0\varepsilon_k > 0, if pnεkp \geq n^{-\varepsilon_k}, then asymptotically almost surely HH contains an (n,k,k1)\left( n , k , k - 1 \right)-Steiner System. Our main tool is Keevash's method of Randomized Algebraic Constructions.
