We argue that the claim given in quant-ph/9801014 is untenable. The fallacy in the proof is a misinterpretation of the no-cloning theorem, which does not allow quantum jumps, specifically measurements.

The argument given by M.D. Westmoreland and B. Schumacher in quant-ph/9801014 leading to the purported conclusion that superluminal signaling violates the no-cloning theorem is shown to be incorrect.

This paper shows that ordinary quantum mechanics is not consistent with the superluminal transmission of classical information.

Recently authors of a paper (arXiv:2105.04407) claim that quantum energy teleportation is unobservable due to a time-energy uncertainty relation. In this short note, I will point out that their argument is wrong. They misuse the uncertainty…

We consider the problem of deriving the no-signaling condition from the assumption that, as seen from a complexity theoretic perspective, the universe is not an exponential place. A fact that disallows such a derivation is the existence of…

We show that a quantum clock cannot be teleported without prior synchronization between sender and receiver: every protocol using a finite amount of entanglement and an arbitrary number of rounds of classical communication will necessarily…

The paper is a Chapter of a book. In it an exhaustive review of the proposals to send faster than light signals resorting to quantum nonlocality and the reduction process is presented, together with a critical analysis and rebuttal of all…

We recast the quantum no-cloning theorem in a form that preserves spin statistics and apply it to entanglement.

The formulation of the no-cloning theorem in the framework of phase-space noncommutative (NC) quantum mechanics (QM) is examined, and its implications for the computation of quantum cloning probabilities and teleportation fidelity are…

We show that nonlocality of quantum mechanics cannot lead to superluminal transmission of information, even if most general local operations are allowed, as long as they are linear and trace preserving. In particular, any quantum mechanical…

A common way of stating the non-cloning theorem -- one of distinguishing characteristics of quantum theory -- is that one cannot make a copy of an arbitrary unknown quantum state. Even though this theorem is an important part of the ongoing…
