We examine embedding diagrams of hypersurfaces in the Reissner-Nordstrom black hole spacetime. These embedding diagrams serve as useful tools to visualize the geometry of the hypersurfaces and of the whole spacetime in general.

We show that the 1+1 dimensional reduction (i.e., the radial plane) of the Kruskal black hole can be embedded in 2+1 Minkowski spacetime and discuss how features of this spacetime can be seen from the embedding diagram. The purpose of this…

It is hard to imagine curved spacetimes of General Relativity. A simple but powerful way how to achieve this is visualizing them via embedding diagrams of both ordinary geometry and optical reference geometry. They facilitate to gain an…

We find the spatial and dynamic embedding diagrams in some stationary spacetimes. The spatial embeddings include the NUT, pure NUT and Kerr spacetimes. In the case of pure NUT spacetime, the spatial embedding equations are solved in terms…

I show that all FRW models (four dimensional pseudo-Riemannian manifolds with maximally symmetric space) can be embedded in a flat Minkowski manifold with 5 dimensions. The pseudo Riemannian metric of space-time is induced by the flat…

We study isometric embeddings of non-extremal Reissner-Nordstr\"om metric describing a charged black hole. We obtain three new embeddings in the flat ambient space with minimal possible dimension. These embeddings are global, i.e.…

A two-dimensional Minkowski spacetime diagram is neatly represented on a Euclidean ordinary plane. However the Euclidean lengths of the lines on the diagram do not correspond to the true values of physical quantities in spacetime, except…

We present the extension of the method of imbedding a mass into cosmology proposed by Gautreau, for the case of a Reissner-Nordstr\"om charged mass. We work in curvature coordinates $(R,T)$ where the coordinate time $T$ is measured by…

A scheme is discussed for embedding n-dimensional, Riemannian manifolds in an (n+1)-dimensional Einstein space. Criteria for embedding a given manifold in a spacetime that represents a solution to Einstein's equations sourced by a massless…

We introduce a new class of two-dimensional diagrams, the \emph{projection diagrams}, as a tool to visualize the global structure of space-times. We construct the diagrams for several metrics of interest, including the Kerr-Newman - (anti)…

Under certain conditions, a $(1+1)$-dimensional slice $\hat{g}$ of a spherically symmetric black hole spacetime can be equivariantly embedded in $(2+1)$-dimensional Minkowski space. The embedding depends on a real parameter that corresponds…
