We study Weyl elements in isotropic reductive groups over commutative rings. Our main result in an explicit formula for squares of such elements. We also classify these elements in rank one groups and prove basic properties of their loci.

For each infinite series of the classical Lie groups of type B,C or D, we introduce a family of polynomials parametrized by the elements of the corresponding Weyl group of infinite rank. These polynomials represent the Schubert classes in…

We propose a theory of degenerations for derived module categories, analogous to degenerations in module varieties for module categories. In particular we define two types of degenerations, one algebraic and the other geometric. We show…

Using a description of the cohomology of local systems on the moduli space of abelian surfaces with a full level two structure, together with a computation of Euler characteristics we find the isotypical decomposition, under the symmetric…

Regular semisimple Hessenberg varieties admit actions of associated Weyl groups on their cohomology space of each degree. In this paper, we consider the module structure of the cohomology spaces of regular semisimple Hessenberg varieties of…

We prove a determinantal formula and Pfaffian formulas that respectively describe the $K$-theoretic degeneracy loci classes for Grassmann bundles and for symplectic Grassmann and odd orthogonal bundles. The former generalizes…

The notion of Weyl modules, both local and global, goes back to Chari and Pressley in the case of affine Lie algebras, and has been extensively studied for various Lie algebras graded by root systems. We extend that definition to a certain…
