In this paper, we define $X$-base Fibonacci-Wieferich prime which is a generalized Wieferich prime where $X$ is a finite set of algebraic numbers. We are going to show that there are infinitely many non-$X$-base Fibonacci-Wieferich primes…

We show that the $abc$ conjecture of Masser-Oesterl\'{e}-Szpiro for number fields implies that there are infinitely many non-Fibonacci-Wieferich primes. We also provide a new heuristic for the number of such primes beneath a certain value.

Under ABC, Silverman showed that there are infinitely many non-Wieferich primes with respect to any (non-trivial) base $a$. Recently Srinivas and Subramani proved an analogous result over number fields with trivial class group. In the first…

Silverman showed that, assuming the $abc$ conjecture, there are $\gg \log x$ non-Wieferich primes base $a$ less than $x$ \cite{silverman}, for all non-zero $a$. This inspired Graves and Murty \cite{Graves}, Chen and Ding \cite{Chen1}…

For a prime $p\equiv 1 \,(\bmod{4})$, let \[ \varepsilon = \frac{1}{2}\left( t + u\sqrt{p}\right) \] be the fundamental unit of the real quadratic field $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{p})$. In 1951, N. Ankeny, E. Artin, and S. Chowla asked whether $p$…

Let $K$ be a number field with ring of integers $\mathcal{O}$ and $\alpha\in\mathcal{O}$. For any prime ideal $\mathfrak{p}$ of $\mathcal{O}$, we obtain its higher $\alpha$-Wieferich property, which implies a nonexistence theorem for higher…

We prove the lower bound for the number of Lucas non-Wieferich primes in arithmetic progressions. More precisely, for any given integer $k\geq 2$ there are $\gg \log x$ Lucas non-Wieferich primes $p\leq x$ such that $p\equiv\pm1\pmod{k}$,…

Let $K$ be a number field or a function field of characteristic 0. If $K$ is a number field, assume the $abc$-conjecture for $K$. We prove a variant of Zsigmondy's theorem for ramified primes in preimage fields of rational functions in…

Let us consider the pure quartic fields of the form $\K=\Q(\sqrt[4]{p})$ where $0<p\equiv 7\pmod{16}$ is a prime integer. We prove that the $2$-class group of $\K$ has order $2$. As a consequence of this, if the class number of $\K$ is $2$,…
